Neurotoxins are prescription drug called OnabotulinumtoxinA. It’s a neurotoxin produced by the bacteria strain of Clostridium botulinum. It is FDA approved for the cosmetic treatment of line and wrinkles and is completely safe.

No. Neurotoxin prevents the muscles from forming wrinkles in your skin. Facial fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane can be gently injected inside the wrinkle area, filling in the wrinkle by plumping up the skin and making the wrinkle disappear.

You may begin to notice results within 5-7 days for moderate to severe frown lines, with results lasting up to 4 months.

Once we have discussed your treatment goals and performed a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatment areas for you, the actual injection process takes about 10 minutes and is relatively pain free.

Not at all! You’ll look like yourself—only with less noticeable frown lines and wrinkles. Neurotoxin is a technique-sensitive treatment. You should not lose the ability to show expression when you are treated by someone who is licensed, trained, and a medical expert in facial anatomy.  When you leave the office you will look like you have mosquito bites in the area treated.

Facial filler is composed of non-animal, stabilized hyaluronic acid produced with a patented process that “cross-links” the substance so it has blended particle sizes. This provides for a very natural effect and greater longevity.

As with any injection, facial injections can involve minor discomfort. However, this minimally invasive procedure is accomplished without the need for an anesthetic. In addition, fillers are formulated with lidocaine to help minimize any discomfort. If you are concerned about discomfort, we can apply a topical numbing cream before administering your treatment.

Immediately. As soon as your procedure is finished, you will see how the injection of filler has smoothed your skin. You may notice some swelling, redness, or irritation at the injection sites but that is usually easily concealed with light makeup and dissipates completely within a few days.

You should be able to return to most normal activities immediately following your filler treatment. It is advisable to avoid strenuous or high-impact activity, alcohol, sun exposure, or heat — saunas or hot showers — for 24 hours. Any of these can increase bruising, discoloration, or bleeding.

This can vary by which formula of filler is used and the location of treatment. Some have the advantage of lasting for up to two years, while other formulas last about six months for some patients and up to a year for others.

The key ingredient in KYBELLA® is deoxycholic acid, an all-natural compound found in the human body that works to destroy fat cells. Once deoxycholic acid is injected beneath the chin, it instantly starts to break down fat stores, releasing the unwanted cells as waste.

We will create a tailored treatment plan based on your chin profile. At each treatment, you will be given multiple small injections under your chin. You may receive up to 6 treatment sessions, spaced at least 1 month apart. Many patients experience visible results in 2 to 4 weeks after KYBELLA® treatment session.

Some patients may experience mild tingling, redness, numbness, or swelling after their KYBELLA® injection. These side effects are perfectly normal and they will dissipate shortly, usually within the first week. Ice packs and/or ibuprofen usually provide comfort and peace of mind. Minimizing post-procedural exercise is a good idea, as this can help keep swelling down.

You will be able to fully visualize your results within the first two weeks, but this varies from client to client. When injected into the fat under the chin, KYBELLA® causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. After reaching your desired aesthetic, further treatment is not expected.

KYBELLA® is exclusively made to remove fat from the chin area. You would need much more product to dissolve fat in the thighs, abdomen, and hips. However, we do offer other procedures such as Coolsculpting for other body areas.

Each treatment lasts for 30 minutes with a minimum of 4 sessions scheduled 2-3 days apart.

The EMSCULPT procedure feels like an intensive workout except you can lie down and relax during the treatment.

EMSCULPT is non-invasive and requires no recovery time or any pre/post treatment preparation.

Clear lift is a noninvasive laser treatment. There is no pain and no downtime. Clients leave with mild erythema and swelling that subsides in about 30 minutes.

Anyone is a good candidate looking to stimulate collagen and improve fine lines and wrinkles. Clearlift is an excellent treatment for melasma helping to break up the melanocytes causing the pigment changes.

Pixel Erbium Resurfacing is a specialized and computer-controlled removal of the layers of your skin’s surface with the ability to produce outstanding results and minimal risk. Erbium blasts the surface of the skin in tiny increments so there is minimal downtime but it is still a resurfacing treatment.

Erbium is a good treatment for everyone except the darkest skin types.

Erbium treatments are good for smoothing out texture, fine lines and reducing pigmented lesions.

Photorejuvenation refers to the use of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to treat conditions related to sun-induced skin damage. IPL uses a broad spectrum of light which is primarily absorbed by melanin and oxyhemoglobin and is effective in reducing the appearance of sun spots, capillaries, elastosis and fine lines.
Next Generation Pulsed Light Therapy
Pulsed dye AFT converts unused short-wavelength light into the usable spectrum. The conversion increases emission and penetration into the treatment area and allows for lower fluence to be used. The lower energy minimizes the chances of unwanted adverse events associated with traditional IPL and helps maximize patient comfort.

Laser hair removal is not super comfortable, but we do everything we can to minimize discomfort during your treatment. The good news is the treatment is fast so the discomfort doesn’t last more than a few minutes.

Although we would love to be able to tell you that we know how many treatments are needed we cannot. Every tattoo is different and while some may be gone after 3 or 4 treatments, others can take 10-15 treatments.

Laser tattoo removal can be very uncomfortable but at Amici Aesthetics we use prescription lidocaine to minimize the discomfort.

There are different acids blended with different peels but the main difference is some are self neutralizing and others need to be neutralized in the office. At your appointment your practitioner will determine which peel is best for your skin type and concerns.

Exosomes are responsible for signaling growth factors in your skin. They speed recovery times and give the skin a beautiful glow. They are used with microneedling and post ablative procedures erbium and morpheus8.

M8 smooths fine lines and wrinkles and improves texture by delivering heat deep into the dermis. M8 uses radio frequency which is the gold standard in skin tightening. By using microneedles to deliver the radiofrequency, the heat is placed where it can be most beneficial to the skin.

Unfortunately Morpheus 8 is painful. We ask clients to come in 60 minutes prior to the treatment to numb the area being treated. We can also prescribe a non-narcotic pain reliever prior to your treatment.

Most people are good candidates for hormone replacement but there are some conditions that need to be controlled before treatment. Your practitioner will review your health history and blood work with you and make recommendations from there.

No not at all! Women produce testosterone too! Women just have smaller amounts. We use a formula based on hundreds of thousands of treated women to determine the best level of testosterone for optimal results and minimal side effects.

Increase blood flow, decrease inflammation, improve insulin resistance, reduces body fat and increases lean muscle, no adverse effects on platelets (injectable testosterone can increase platelet stickiness), improves HDL, reduced bone loss, improves cognition and memory

Some people complain of fluid retention, post menopausal bleeding, sleepiness with progesterone (we recommend taking this at night), acne, increase in hair growth. Many of these can be helped with optimal dosage and supplements.

They are made from yams. They have the same molecular structure as human hormones.

You will need to have bloodwork done prior to your initial insertion. Sometimes this includes a complementary visit with the nurse practitioner, but some clients choose to have blood drawn first. Once you labs are available, the nurse practitioner will do a health history, review labs, and explain the procedure. At that time if appropriate You will get your first round of pellets. You will then need to have labs drawn again in 4 weeks for men and 6 weeks for women. The nurse practitioner will call you when your labs are back.

Sometimes insurance companies will cover hormone pellets and bloodwork. It is up to you to submit the information to your insurance company. Amici Aesthetics does not bill to insurance and therefore all pellets and bloodwork done through us is cash pay.
