Things to Remember When Getting Injectable Treatments

• Your provider will screen you for infection
• Your treatment may be delayed until active viral or bacterial infections have been resolved
• Avoid injectable treatments 2 weeks before and after vaccinations or dental work
• You will be asked to wash face and hands thoroughly with soap and water before treatment
• You may be asked to use Chlorhexidine mouthwash before lip treatments
• Your entire face will be cleaned with antiseptic
• Do not to use make-up for 12 hours and skin care products for 24 hours after injections
• Avoid extreme cold or heat for 48 hours
• Do not massage the treated area
• Avoid strenuous physical activity
• Postpone dental procedures for at least 2 weeks after treatment

Hyaluronic acid products like Juvaderm, Voluma, Volbella are used in the lips, cheeks, naso-labial folds, and marionette lines.
