If you suffer from skin blemishes, fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, uneven pigmentation, or unwanted scars like acne scaring, laser skin resurfacing may hold the solution to your woes. By using our Harmony XL Pro laser to strip the skin of impurities, laser skin resurfacing accomplishes a refreshed, vibrant complexion without resorting to invasive surgery.
of Laser Skin Resurfacing
- Improvement in skin’s color and texture
- Repair of skin damaged from the sun or smoking
- Safe, proven and FDA approved
- Improved tightening of pores and skin firmness
- Stimulation of collagen reserves
- Acne, Scar & Tattoo removal
- Non-surgical, non-invasive, low risk
Laser skin resurfacing has proven to be a highly effective, non-surgical treatment option for patients with fine lines, wrinkles, discolored pigmentation, or scars that do not respond to milder treatments such as facials and over-the-counter skin products. Using a state of the art non-ablative laser, the outer layers of skin are carefully peeled away, stimulating the growth collagen and new skin cells. The final result is rejuvenated, smoother and younger looking skin.
Who is a good candidate for a laser procedure?
Most patients pursuing laser skin resurfacing have trouble with crow’s feet, crumpling of the eyelid skin, laxity in the lower lids, brown spots, or troublesome scars of one kind or another, as well as overall wrinkling. Laser treatments are not for everyone. For this reason we will review your health history and treatment goals. We do have treatments that are available for all skin types so everyone is welcome.
What can I expect from my laser skin resurfacing procedure?
If you are booking a laser appointment you will receive a consultation with a Nurse practitioner prior to your treatment. At that time the NP will review your health history and discuss your skincare goals and treatments available that will address your skin concerns.
Most laser treatments will not be painful, however some may be. We have topical anesthetic for the procedures that are uncomfortable and we will treat at your pace.
How Will I Feel After a Laser Treatment?
This will depend on the treatment you have done. You may just feel a bit flushed or, if you opt for a more intense laser treatment, you will be flushed like you have a bad sunburn. If you receive a ‘peel’ or ablative treatment you can expect your skin to peel and slough off for a week to two after the treatment. Ablative treatments have the most downtime but can have the most dramatic results.
Will Everyone Have the Same Results?
While results do vary from patient to patient, your results will depend on the level of sun damage and the type of skin you have. A lot of how we age is due to genetics so we do not promise consistent results with laser, IPL or injectable treatments.
Most patients find that their skin feels and looks tighter, firmer and more radiant immediately. However, results will continue to improve over the course of several months as the effects of the laser stimulates new collagen growth.
How Many Treatments will be Needed?
The number of treatments you will need depends on the treatment you choose and the condition of your skin. Everybody’s results will vary. In some cases, results are seen with one treatment but most of the time a series of treatments are required. For example, laser hair removal typically requires 3-6 treatments to target all the hair follicles at the correct phase of growth. This is why we take the time to listen to your concerns to develop a treatment plan that is designed specifically for you to help you look your best!
The AMICI Difference
At Amici Aesthetics, we believe that each patient is unique, requiring his or her own treatment that is different from anyone else’s. So much of the cosmetic industry is “over-hyped” with clever marketing lingo that creates a confusing mess of services that may or may not be suitable for you.
That is why we take a standard medical approach with each patient. When you come in with something you’d like to change about your appearance, our first step is determining a proper treatment plan for you. This is done with a thorough (and FREE) consultation so we can listen to your goals and understand who you are as a person.
